The Safari Inn has a strict door code!
Like all of our lodging, the inn was more expensive than advertised. But, the rooms were good and the water was warm. Ok, warm when we weren’t breaking the heater.
However, the best part is the roof. You can climb five flights of stairs to be rewarded with a view over a chunk of central Dar. I stayed up until sunrise listening to the sounds of the city: mostly singing drunks, racing daladalas, and couples having sex.
The cyber cafe inside the inn is worthless. But, there’s a late-night one right around the corner.
We moved to the YWCA our last day in the city because of the price difference. But, I found myself missing our first lodging.
