The two hour trip to Nairobi lasted eight hours. Welcome to Kenya, where the roads are terrible. The best ones will unexpectedly and suddenly stop; leaving worn turn-offs into nearby dirt roads.

But, immigration was a pleasant surprise. The price of a visa had recently been lowered to $25 from $50. And Kenyan border officials are nice guys who love to chat about any topic posed.
