The Mercado District in Addis is reputedly the largest market in Africa. But, then so is Kariakoo in Dar es Salaam. I won’t weigh in with my opinion; sufficing to say that both are sprawled enough to get easily lost within.
We found the spice market— the tout-filled spice market.
And it’s frustratingly difficult to purchase anything when vendors enter negotiations in bad faith.
